The Distinguished Innovation Fellows Program operates on the following principles:

The DIF program is a year-long course designed to engage distinguished individuals 55 and over, in meaningful, post-retirement work. Fellows will collaborate with award-winning ASU faculty members in a supportive and structured environment, all while having access to a wide range of exceptional ASU classes and courses, spanning various subjects. Additionally, Fellows will play a pivotal role as mentors, fostering a collaborative and enriching educational experience for current ASU students.

What to Expect

Program Eligibility

  • Mid-to-late career professionals looking to reset for the next phase of their professional life
  • Individuals from any professional background are welcome, including those in technology, business, engineering, science, and the arts
  • Applicants must demonstrate a clear commitment to solving a problem through their idea as well as an interest in mentoring college students

Fellowship Details

Duration: a single academic year

Location: ASU campuses in Mesa, Phoenix and Tempe, AZ

Cohort Size: ~10-15 fellows
