Research and Documents

While developing Version 1.0 of the Index, the team conducted a literature review by researching the critical gaps of existing indices. Using these insights, they established the Women’s Power & Influence Index to be comprehensive, accessible, and objective.

To create the ranking criteria and metrics, the team surveyed 8,000 women across various industries to evaluate the importance of specific criteria and determine their weight values. Ranked companies were selected based on their Fortune 500 ranking, market capitalization, industry diversity, and data availability.

Version 2.0 of the Index expanded the criteria scored and adjusted the weight of each criterion based on extensive student research and multiple surveys measuring women’s views and evaluations of Version 1.0 criteria.
